A brown, thin‑fleshed, decurrent‑gilled agaric forming tight clusters in nutrient‑rich litter near compost. Caps darken markedly when wet. Gills pale cream and adnexed. Spore print buff to light tan, sometimes appearing faintly pinkish. Spores ellipsoid and finely warty, consistent with Paralepista.

Cap: Convex to plano‑convex, often becoming shallowly depressed in age. Surface smooth, moist, and darkens noticeably when wet. Colour tan to brown, sometimes patchy or slightly zoned. Margin initially even, later wavy or slightly lobed.
Gills: Crowded, adnexed gills, soft and pliant. Colour cream to pale buff, sometimes with slightly darker edges in older specimens.
Stipe: 20-50 x 5-12 mm, slender, fibrous, tapering downward. Surface smooth, pale cream to light brown, sometimes with adhering soil or litter. No ring.
Base: Narrow, slightly tapered, often attached to small clumps of litter or compost. No volva or basal bulb.
Colour: Cap tan to brown, darker when wet. Gills cream. Stipe pale cream to light brown. Flesh whitish.
Size: Cap 30-80 mm; stipe 20-50 mm long.
Growth habit: Clustered, often in tight groups or overlapping clusters. Occurs in nutrient‑rich sites such as compost edges, garden litter, or disturbed soil.
