This small, remarkably vegetable‑green species is uncommon, which looks more like a Mycena species than a Cortinarius, although it has yellow gills, it produces brown-textured spores.

Cap: 9-12 mm diam.; obtusely conical, dry, weakly hygrophanous. Colour green to yellow‑green or olive green, becoming yellowish toward the margin in age. Surface innately fibrillose; margin plicate, later striate.
Lamellae: Greenish yellow when young; distant; free; edges concolorous.
Stipe: 30-50 x 2-3 mm, cylindrical, slender. Colour citrinous, pale turquoise at apex, brown‑yellow toward base. Veil very thin, greenish; cortina not observed.
Context: Pale green to olive green throughout.
Odour/taste: Insignificant.
