A distinctive Telamonia associated with Nothofagus forests, recognised by its viscid brownish‑yellow hygrophanous cap, free grey‑white lamellae, white stipe with a thin pendulous collar, and weak but definite red NaOH reaction on the pileus and veil. The species is uncommon but striking once known.

Cap: 30-60 mm, hemispherical to convex to plane. Viscid, rather coarsely innate‑fibrillose. Hygrophanous. Brownish‑yellow with a darker disc, becoming grey-brown in age. Margin more greyish, weakly striate to sulcate.
Lamellae: Moderately crowded (L = 50, l = 2-3). Free, unusual and taxonomically important. Greyish‑white when young, edge concolorous.
Stipe: 55-100 x 6-11 mm, cylindrical to weakly clavate. Dry, white, later flushing yellow‑brown from the base upward. With a thin, pendulous, grey‑white striate collar that flushes brown. Veil yellow‑brown, rather copious. Context
Context: Yellowish‑white, darker in the stipe base.
Odour/taste: nil
