Brown to red‑brown arbuscular coral to 50 mm tall, with short awl‑shaped apices and a negative FCL reaction. Spores ovate–ellipsoid with dense, coarse conical spines.

Note: This keys out to be Ramariopsis ramarioides, but DNA sequencing says otherwise; it looks to be an unidentified species.

Fruitbody: Up to 50 mm tall and 20 mm wide, arbuscular, with 2–4 ranks of branching. Erect, fairly strict, with a compact, upright form.
Stipe: Up to 20 × 4 mm, tapering downward. Colour pale pinkish‑tan (“pale pinkish cinnamon”, “tilleul‑buff”), becoming chamois at the base with age. Upper stipe concolorous with branches.
Branches: Terete, dichotomous throughout, gradually shortening internodes. Colours range fleshy brown to red‑brown. Axils rounded.
Apices: Awl‑shaped, short (to 5 mm). Concolorous with branches or redder.
Odour/taste: Negligible.
