The brilliant orange to deep chrome yellow coloration is distinctive among simple‑club Ramariopsis species.

Fruitbody: Simple clubs to 80 × 7 mm, often broadly fusiform, frequently flattened and sometimes longitudinally sulcate. Typically fasciculate, forming tight groups of up to seven individuals arising from a shared primordium below the substrate surface. When young: brilliant orange. With age: egg-yolk yellow to golden yellow. Stipe often slightly brighter than the club.
Stipe: Up to 4 mm thick, terete, poorly differentiated from the club.
Branches: Usually unbranched, but occasionally bifurcate at the apex, with divergent‑ascending, cornute branches.
Odour/taste: Negligible.
