A small, bright yellow, strongly glutinous waxgill with a membranaceous, striate, hygrophanous cap; distant, broadly adnate to decurrent yellow gills with a darker edge and a conspicuous gelatinous thread; a hollow, very glutinous stipe often orange at the base; and abundant cheilocystidia forming a gelatinous gill‑edge band.

Pileus: 5-25 mm diam., hemispherical becoming convex then distinctly umbilicate. Colour: Egg‑yellow → lemon‑yellow → chrome‑yellow; fading to paler yellow with age. Strongly glutinous; hygrophanous; margin striate when moist; texture membranaceous.
Lamellae: Broadly adnate to decurrent. Spacing: Distant. Colour: Concolorous with pileus, fading in age; gill edge darker. Gill‑edge thread: Conspicuous, gelatinous, formed by abundant cheilocystidia.
Stipe: 20-40 x 2-3(4) mm, cylindric, equal or slightly attenuated below. Concolorous with pileus; distinctly orange at the base. Surface: Very glutinous throughout its entire length.
Context: Hollow; yellow.
Odour/tast: Not distinctive.
