A dry, pink waxgill with a conical to campanulate cap that often splits radially with age, adnexed ventricose lamellae, and a fragile hollow stipe. The species is entirely non-gelatinous A distinctive member of Humidicutis, easily recognised by its pink coloration and dry, glabrous surfaces.

Pileus: 20-45 mm diam. Conical when young to conico‑convex or campanulate; older specimens frequently radially splitting. Colour: Pink. Surface: Glabrous; dry; not striate. Texture, thin, fragile.
Lamellae: Adnexed or slightly emarginate-adnexed. Spacing: Distant. Colour: Pink; gill edge concolorous; occasionally serrate. Form: Ventricose.
Stipe: 35-80 x 4-6 mm, cylindric, equal. Colour: Pink, matching pileus. Surface: Dry, glabrous.
Context: Hollow; fragile.
Odour/tast: Not distinctive.
