This similar species to Trichoderma gelatinosum the name you see used most ofhen is the green-spored anamorph of Hypocrea gelatinosa, a distinctive gelatinous, yellow-green stromatic species in Hypocreaceae. It is one of the few Trichoderma species with a soft, jelly-like teleomorph and green, warted ascospores.
Stromata (teleomorph): Pulvinate to globose, typically 1-3 mm across. Initially pale yellow, becoming yellow-green as spores mature. Gelatinous, translucent context, soft when fresh, collapsing when dry. Surface appears finely warted due to numerous slightly protruding ostioles. Perithecia immersed, ostioles scattered, giving a granular appearance.
